Northern Dipper Temple
Northern Dipper is a Daoist temple founded by Ian Duncan, Li XingHui 李興輝 in order to preserve and make accessible authentic Daoist teachings in the West.
The temple supports a community of committed Daoist practitioners following the teachings of Ian and his lineages: the Complete Reality Dragon Gate Secret Lineage (QuanZhen LongMen AnPai), the Emei and Hidden Immortal Lineages, and the Complete Reality Dragon Gate WuDang XuanWu lineage.
It began in the Hudson Valley of New York, in a timber-framed and earthen-walled building built by hand by Abbot Li. In 2021 Li moved with his family to San Cristobal, New Mexico, outside of Taos.

Our main altar and teaching space in the Hudson Valley. May the stars align to create a new space here in New Mexico with comparable stability and power.
Our home temple in China, the Dragon Gate Caves Temple in Shaanxi. It is the ancestral root temple of the Dragon Gate Lineage.
